Designed and animated wire sculptures for 'The Underground Astronaut', a short documentary by Marleine van der Werf. The documentary is about evolutionary biologist Toby Kiers and her research in underground mycelial networks.

Using the live action footage and Toby's talks about mycelial networks as a starting point, I created these wire networks, and animated small led lights to make them come to life.
